Since day one with speaking with Carol, she was very informative about the whole process in terms of getting a marriage license, what to review, what to do on the wedding day, etc. We made sure to follow her suggestions so that the wedding day would be efficient and that we would legally be married (marriage license needs to be present when she marries you!!). We would recommend Carol wholeheartedly as she was kind, informative, funny, and having her there on our wedding, you knew that she would support you in any way she could. Also, seeing her smile makes you feel at ease as well. She is very sweet!

When my Partner and I started planning our wedding, we had selected another Officiant to work with, but a few months before our wedding, there was a change of plans and she was no longer able to perform the ceremony for us. So, with only a few months before our wedding date, we began our search. Rather quickly, we came across Carol’s website and were instantly impressed with the wealth of information she had on her site, not to mention how many ceremonies she had conducted. What really attracted us to her was that she performed both straight and gay and lesbian services. Being a Gay Couple, it was important to us that we worked with someone that had experience with a gay ceremony. We called Carol and instantly connected with her. We arranged a time to meet and the planning began. She was absolutely so easy to work with, making the day all about us, while still offering many suggestions. We conversed over the phone and email, she was very responsive. The week before, we connected, finalized the ceremony and were ready to marry. She made it so easy, she focused on us. The day of the ceremony she checked in with us prior to the ceremony and put us at ease. Her style and presence during the ceremony were wonderful. Her voice is so confident and you can just hear the passion for what she does in her tone. The ceremony was beautiful, and people still comment on how nicely it was put together, Carol is owed much of that credit. Thanks for helping us create a ceremony that was personal to us. Despite the fact that all of our interaction up until my wedding day had been over the phone or by email (I live out of state), I felt like I had known her forever and it was so nice to feel like she was genuinely interested in getting to know me and my fiancé. During our wedding ceremony there was a small slip-up as the best man forgot one of the rings, but Carol continued like a true professional and didn't let the little bump in the road throw her off. She arrived early, well/officially dressed, prepared with tissues and tape (which we used), and remembered the names of everyone involved in our small wedding ceremony. Carol was AMAZING and without her knowledge and insight we would not have gotten married! She suggested that we "expedite" our marriage license and pay the additional fee and spend the extra time to make this happen. This intuitiveness and extra care saved us THOUSANDS of dollars because the day our marriage license would have been ready to pick-up from Boston City Hall-would have never happened! This was the day the City of Boston was on LOCK-DOWN! Nothing was open and we would NOT have been able to get our license to be married the next day-Saturday! Carol is "special" and really took the time to understand our needs and learn about our desires. Most of our contact was through email, since my schedule is such that I am busy almost all of the time (even without wedding planning) and scheduling even a phone call takes either weeks to plan or has to be done at the last minute. After seeing all these great reviews on Carol's services, we decided to go with her as our Justice of Peace. Carol was very responsive to emails and phone calls, and also gave great suggestions on vows, ceremony ideas, and sent us a whole Word document on blessings to be read at the ceremony. When we finally met Carol on our wedding day (10.20.12) she was very friendly and gathered the wedding party and parents together in the living room to go over details of the ceremony. I'm a crier so I got emotional during the ceremony but all in all, it was a beautiful ceremony and Carol's services were fantastic! We had forgotten about the sand ceremony but luckily she was there to remind us, and we ended up completing that part indoors. I would definitely recommend Carol to friends and families!

Not only was Carol flexible and professional, she was very familiar with the venue and offered suggestions for our ceremony for parts that we were unsure of. What can we say about Carol? Great ideas, puts you at ease, great personality, great communicator. First of all, pre-ceremony, we didn't have a large wedding party, so we didn't have a rehearsal. Carol quickly went over the processional and recessional with us at the function hall so that we felt comfortable. The actual ceremony was all ideas that we saw on Carol's website. The wine box ceremony and the inclusion of our five year old son were talked about days after the wedding. Hands down the best officiant that I have ever seen. Carol, thanks for braving the hurricane to be our officiant!

My husband and I are from the UK, so we had to book a Justice of a Peace over the internet. This could have potentially been a bit of a risky process as you don't really know what the person is like or the quality of their service. Carol sent us the run-through of the ceremony, which we could change depending on what we wanted. We decided to write our own vows, which Carol offered to print out and bring on the day, which was really helpful. Overall an excellent service and a very warm and friendly ceremony.

Carol makes the entire process very easy, especially if you're not the type of person who wants to script the entire ceremony yourself. She provides templates that you can use for the ceremony, your vows, and more. She will help as much, or as little, as you would like, but will never push her ideas onto you. Carol is extremely knowledgeable about the entire process, and is sure to provide you with all the details you could need (from where to get your marriage license to how much it will cost). However, she will never try to charge you for anything that you don't need. For example, we had a very small wedding (25 people), and she was very honest in letting us know that it would be a waste of our money to have her included in any sort of a rehearsal. Instead, she simply showed up 30 minutes before the ceremony to get all the necessary details taken care. Carol is always very professional, and is a pleasure to work with.

She arrived on site with plenty of time to spare and, since we are a very easygoing couple (with no real idea of what we wanted!) she helped run us all through exactly what we needed to know and do, where and how to stand, when to walk, and what to say during the ceremony. She was open to any and all ideas that we had or direction we wanted to take the ceremony, but we wanted to keep it short, sweet and simple and she helped it stay just that. Her friendly demeanor really put us at ease when she arrived on site. She also keeps tissues handy in the event the bride or groom get a little emotional, and I thought that was a very nice (and helpful!!) touch.

Initially we were going to get married at Faneuil Hall because it is a historical landmark & the last location of the day for my fiancé. Carol was wonderful. She e-mailed back the same day that we contacted her, and immediately agreed to officiate at our wedding, even though it was only a month and a half's notice. We talked to her on the phone for a consultation, and she was super-friendly and helpful. She even recommended that we not do a rehearsal with her so that we would save the $50 meeting fee, because our wedding was so small (only eight guests). When we changed the time of our ceremony, she had no problem with it.

She sent us an outline of suggested vows as well as readings, and we were able to personalize the whole thing exactly as we wished. Two days before our wedding, she checked in to confirm with us.

On our wedding day, she arrived at the site early, said hello to all our family members, and went over details with us. She was extremely flexible as to the format of the wedding and where the three of us would stand, and did a beautiful job officiating--both serious and approachable. At the end she gave us a beautiful version of our marriage certificate, suitable for framing.

Carol provided us with a lot of options and information which made our decision much easier. Also, with the different options, we were still able to customize and change details so that our ceremony would be unique.

Excellent choice!! Carol was so helpful and very clear. She was great and easy to work with. She gave us a ton of examples to choose from and incorporated a couple of pieces we came up with as well to create our vows. She was very professional and after my first conversation with her, I was at ease and knew I was in good hands. Even on a short notice, our wedding ceremony was beautiful!!! Thank you.

Carol was absolutely wonderful. Between the craziness of the festival going on in the city and trying to find parking to officiate our wedding she did what she had to make sure she was there. She has this way about her that makes you feel like you are talking to your own mom. It was such a pleasant experience.

Carol was so great to work with. I changed the date and time a few times with no problems. Her certificates are beautiful and look great in a frame. I am glad found her and would recommend her to everyone.

It was also nice to see all the pictures of the married couples. We contacted Carol and even though we live abroad, she was happy to talk to us on the phone to discuss the details of our ceremony. Carol sent us the run-through of the ceremony, which we could change depending on what we wanted. We decided to write our own vows, which Carol offered to print out and bring on the day, which was really helpful. Overall an excellent service and a very warm and friendly ceremony.

Carol is a vessel of information! She was absolutely wonderful and patient at my son’s wedding. Even though we started an hour later than scheduled she told me not to worry about it. I would recommend her to everyone I know who is looking for a Justice of the Peace!

We loved Carol! Our ceremony was quite simple, but the vows she helped us with made everything so beautiful. Very helpful and professional. Easy to speak to, as if you've known her for more than the 20 minutes over the phone.

Carol was the absolute best! She married my husband and me on top of the Green Monster at Fenway Park in the middle of January, with only 6 weeks’ notice. With my husband being stationed in Afghanistan we had a limited window of opportunity that Carol was extremely generous and flexible with. It was by far the best day of my life and Carol made it all possible! Thank you Carol!

Carol was amazing! From the day I first called to see if she was available for our Fenway Park wedding, she was friendly, helpful, enthusiastic, and patient. She gave us tons of suggestions and supported our Sox-themed wedding, right down to the vows. I had so many guests come up to me after the ceremony with compliments for her friendly and professional style. And my husband said Carol kept him calm!
